Pack 20 goes on a campout 2 to 4 times a year, weather permitting... in the fall and in the spring. Campouts are a great time for scouts to get to know each other better, go on a hike, learn more about nature and how we can protect it, enjoy s'mores by a campfire, and have a ton of fun!
BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation) is the Cub Scout leader training required for any Cub Scout den or pack outdoor event, including packing camping, overnighters and Webelos den overnighters. BALOO training is now comprised of two components* – an online component, and a practical, hands-on component. Both components must be completed to qualify as a “Trained” Cub Scout outdoor leader and to receive the BALOO recognition patch. The online component contains introductory and basic information and must be completed prior to the practical component at my.scouting.org. The practical component is an overnight that takes about 16 hours to complete. Find a course near you.

More Information:
This is a family friendly event so a scout's siblings and parents are all welcome and encouraged to come out and join in the fun!
Safety! Please use the buddy system with all scouts and make sure to turn in your scout’s BSA Health and Medical Record (Part A & B for any Scouting event).
Make sure your scout brings good shoes for running and hiking.
Running around the campsite - We fully expect the kids to play and have fun, however we need to use caution around the tent area where there are metal stakes, tie downs, a fire pit, etc.
Nighttime can obviously be hazardous because of limited vision in the woods (tripping or running into a low hanging branch which could poke eyes). Parents, please help the leaders with supervising the scouts in this area.

The purpose of campership aid is to make attending camping programs possible for deserving Scouts who otherwise would not be able to meet the fee requirements. Scouters may also need camperships to attend training and/or be able to provide leadership so more Scouts can attend camp.
All Scouts and Scouts who receive campership help are encouraged to earn or provide part of the fee, in keeping with the ninth part of the Scout Law...A Scout is Thrifty.
This campership fund is made possible through donations, Friends of Scouting (FOS), and popcorn sales.
To be eligible, a family must complete the Campership Request Form, including details regarding the family situation and Scouting participation.
It is expected that the family will fund some portion of the child's expenses; the council will strive to subsidize the remainder. As a rule of thumb, the council is willing to support funding based on need.
All funds will be awarded based on need and available funds. All applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
All campership requests must be submitted prior to registering for the program.
Camperships can be requested for Cub Scout day camp, Adventure Camp, and Resident Camp; select OA, Sea Scouts and Venturing events; and Scouts BSA events (e.g., winter camp, summer camp, Full Throttle, Trail to Eagle Camp, STEM Camp); and select training events.
